Jim Busch has been playing since 1963 when like so many of
his peers, he saw the Beatles with Ringo Starr. This watershed event led him
to form his first band, the Rivals and he has been playing and collecting
drums ever since. He has played and recorded with Northwest legends Rich
Dangel, the Sonic's Gerry Roslie and Frank Zappa alum Bobby Sumpner. Before
finding a home with Fat Cat, Jim played Rock,R&B and Blues with the
Del-Psychics, Major Major (with Major Darst), the Palmolives (with Hans Ipsen) and the Dean
Reichert Band. Other prominent musicians Jim has played with include pianist
David Lanz, Mark Riley, Scotty Harris and Lisa Ramaglia, Pat Hewitt, Isaac
Scott, Joe and Jay Johansen, and John Goforth. Jim's laidback, no- nonsense
style and deep, funky groove compliment Fat Cat's rich, soulful sound
perfectly.

Major Darst is originally from Morton, Illinois. While

Terry Nelson has been playing keyboards for over 5 decades
beginning classical piano training at the age of 5. At the age of 14 he
joined the first rock and roll band in the Skagit Valley area called "The
Esquires" and played with them for four years or so until he entered
college. The urban experience in Seattle led him to a serious interest in
jazz and blues and although he mostly studied in college he began playing
professionally again in Bellingham in the late 60's with long time friend
Patti Allen and others. He has played with many local jazz & blues artists
in the Northwest and cohosted a weekly jam at the La Conner Tavern (his
hometown) for several years with Nick Vigarino where many famous area
musicians were guest artists. He has become close to many of the area greats
such as the late Rich Dangel, Pete Borg, & Kathy MacDonald to mention just a few. He
teamed up with Hans Ipsen, Randy Oxford, & Hadi Al-Saadoon a few years ago for about a 2 year stint
with Little Bill & the Bluenotes. He has been with Fat Cat for about six
months and feels great about the body that two keyboards adds to an already
very fat sound. email Terry:
